Straight answers on ordering, materials, lead times and fitment — the questions buyers ask us every day.
Yes — this is most of our work. Send any one of three things: the worn screw and barrel itself, the machine brand and model plate, or simply the screw diameter with a few overall dimensions. We reverse-engineer the geometry, then send you a dimension drawing to approve before a single chip is cut. Nothing goes into production without your written confirmation.
Machine brand and model, screw diameter, L/D ratio or barrel length, the material you process (including filler type and percentage), and a photo of the worn set if you have one. The more we know about your formulation, the better we can match the alloy — two barrels of identical size can need completely different metallurgy.
No. We build one set at a time as often as we build twenty. Repeat and stock orders are welcome, but we do not force a minimum to take a drawing.
Yes. We regularly build replacement sets for Engel, Arburg, KraussMaffei, Demag, Battenfeld, Nissei, JSW, Toshiba, Sumitomo, Fanuc, Haitian and most Chinese-built machines. Give us the machine model and we will confirm from our build records before quoting.
Yes, and we offer to sign first. Our standard NDA covers drawing handling, sample storage, no third-party disclosure and non-circumvention. If you have your own form, send it and we will sign it.
Standard nitriding grade is 38CrMoAlA, with 42CrMo, 34CrAlNi7 and 31CrMoV9 available for high-torque or high-pressure duty, SKD61 for specific extrusion work, and stainless grades where corrosion rather than wear is the enemy. Tell us your process and we will recommend the base steel as well as the surface treatment.
It depends on your filler. For unfilled commodity resins (PE, PP, PS, ABS) a gas-nitrided set is the economical choice. Once you run glass fibre, mineral filler, flame retardant, PVC or high recycled content, a bimetallic lining pays for itself — a set that lasts three to five times longer costs far less per running hour, even though it costs more to buy.
Gas-nitrided layers reach HV 900–1020 at 0.5–0.8 mm case depth. Centrifugally cast bimetallic linings reach HRC 55–72 through a 2–5 mm metallurgically bonded alloy layer. The exact figure depends on the alloy we select for your duty, and it is written on your quotation rather than left open.
Yes. Every order can ship with the mill test certificate for the base steel, the certificate for the alloy powder used in the lining, and NDT results for the bimetallic bond. Ask for them when you enquire — a supplier who hesitates on this question is telling you something.
We can work to a specified alloy grade or recommend an equivalent based on your wear mechanism. Note that the same brand name performs differently between factories because welding parameters change the deposited metallurgy, so we prefer to discuss the duty rather than only the trade name.
Bore straightness 0.015 mm per metre or tighter, flight-land surface roughness Ra 0.4 µm, and concentricity held between screw and barrel bore. Every critical dimension is measured, not assumed, and recorded against your drawing.
Every set is hardness-tested and dimension-inspected before it leaves our plant. You receive the inspection report, hardness readings and photographs of the finished parts before we pack — so you approve what you are buying, in writing, before the balance payment.
Yes. We regularly host SGS, TÜV, Intertek and customer-appointed inspectors, and we will hand over dimensional data for verification. The inspector's fee is yours to arrange; our production floor is open to them.
Any day. We can run a live video walkthrough of the machining floor, the nitriding and centrifugal casting furnaces, and the inspection room during a call in your time zone — and we welcome you or your agent in person at our Jiaozuo plant in Henan.
The lining is centrifugally cast so it is metallurgically bonded, not merely sprayed, and each liner is checked ultrasonically for bonding integrity before final machining. If a liner fails that check it never reaches the machine shop.
Every one. A single screw barrel is worth too much to the customer's production line to gamble on sampling, and statistical inspection tells you nothing about the part in your crate.
Typically 25–40 days after drawing confirmation, depending on diameter, length and heat treatment. Larger diameters and bimetallic linings take longer because a cast liner must be stress-relieved and machined after lining, not before.
Yes. Tell us the situation and we will tell you honestly what is achievable and what is not, before you commit. Our own nitriding and casting furnaces are the reason we can compress schedules — we are not queueing at someone else's heat-treatment shop.
Rust-proofed, oil-sealed and end-capped, then chocked and strapped inside a fumigated wooden case built for the part's weight. We send packing photographs and the packing list before dispatch so you can reconcile on arrival.
We export from Qingdao and Shanghai, and can work FOB, CFR, CIF, EXW or door-delivery depending on your forwarding arrangement. Having our own export documentation means we are not asking a third party to ship for us.
T/T (30% deposit, balance before shipment) is standard, and L/C at sight is workable. Tell us which suits your company and we will build the quotation around it rather than arguing about it.
Yes. We provide a written warranty against manufacturing defects, covering material, heat treatment and dimensional conformity for virgin plastic applications. Abrasive or heavily contaminated recycled feed is a different wear case and we discuss it openly before quoting, instead of arguing after delivery.
Then it is our problem, not yours. If a set built to the confirmed drawing does not fit, we remake it or correct it at our cost. This is exactly why we confirm geometry in writing before machining starts.
Yes. Once a geometry has been built it stays on record under your name, so a reorder needs only a reference number — no re-measuring, no re-approving, and no risk of drift between batches.
Our machining capability runs to Ø300 mm. That covers almost all injection and extrusion screw barrels in service. If your requirement sits outside our range we will say so in the first reply instead of quoting and struggling later.
We are the factory. Henan Xiwang Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. operates its own 14,000 m² plant in Jiaozuo with 70–80 staff, four nitriding furnaces and four bimetallic furnaces, and we export directly. Ask for a live walkthrough and judge for yourself.
A screw barrel is built to a drawing, not pulled from a shelf, so a generic price list would mislead you rather than help you. What we can promise is a detailed quotation within 24 hours of receiving your machine model, diameter and material — free, and with no obligation.
Because replacement parts are our whole business, not a spare-parts department. You get faster response, material upgrades the original builder may not offer, and geometry tuned to the material you actually run today rather than the one the machine was sold for. If your machine is still under warranty, we will tell you so and suggest you check the terms first.
Every question above is one a buyer asked us. If yours is not here, send it with your machine model and we answer within 24 hours — including the questions you did not think to ask.
