Modular barrel segments with bimetallic lining for compounding lines. Machined in our own Henan workshop — to your drawing, or reverse-engineered from your worn parts.
On a compounder the barrel is a series of short segments, so you replace the worn section instead of the whole barrel. We line them with 2–5 mm alloy and bore them to your machine's geometry.
Supplied as individual segments or a full barrel train, with ports machined to your process layout.

Standard range shown. Every dimension below can be changed to your machine, resin and output — custom manufacturing is our daily business.
| Segment length | To your machine specification |
|---|---|
| Lining | 2–5 mm bimetallic alloy |
| Bore | Finished and honed to geometry |
| Ports | Feed, vent, liquid injection to layout |
| Cooling | Bore cooling circuits machined |
| Material | Alloy-lined steel body |
| Lead time | 30–45 days |
The honest answer depends on your resin, not on price. Here is how we advise customers.
| Gas Nitrided (38CrMoAlA) | Bimetallic Alloy Lining | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Unfilled PE, PP, PS, ABS, virgin PVC | Glass-filled, mineral-filled, recycled, corrosive |
| Surface hardness | HV 900–1020, depth 0.45–0.7 mm | Alloy layer 2–5 mm, metallurgically bonded |
| Typical service life | Baseline | 3–5× baseline on abrasive resin |
| Cost | Lower | Higher, recovered through fewer stoppages |
| Certification | MTC with heat number | MTC + hardness records, third-party on request |
Yes — that is the advantage of modular design. Send the segment or its drawing and we reproduce it.
Lined (bimetallic) for abrasive or corrosive compounds; unlined for unfilled resins where cost matters more.
